CGI Illustration: Harkins Theatres Ad Campaign
Another example of morphing and repurposing CGI assets with 3D software
This CGI illustration had a former life as a much more mundane school text book illustration for a British publishing company as seen at the bottom. A few years later an advertising agency sought me out for a large assignment and was attracted to the text book illustration in my portfolio. The client liked it as well and wanted me to do something based on it. It took a lot of hard work and the original image came a long way to become the final artwork for the ad campaign and collateral advertising to promote the client's theatre chain. The artwork appeared on posters, print ads, soda cups and popcorn bags as well as various kinds of merchandise.
