Creative Insight
With an already existing stable of recognized NBA players, the creative decision was made to leverage those brand assets and provide the scouting agents who traveled the world with the credibility they need when sitting down with the families of young recruits.
Execution
The execution of the campaign relied on the use of strong visuals of in-play shots in a highly recognizable environment, thus reinforcing the idea that those athletes used to be potential young recruits just like the current prospects.
Why it works
Very simply, the ad conflates young, aspiring athetes with popular, established professionals, thereby conveying the message, "They got to where they are because of us. We can do the same for you," while still remaining client-focused. The copy acknowledges every young athlete's belief that within themselves is a professional just waiting to break out, and at the same time promises that Comsport will help them "unleash" that inner pro, with graphics that play to their dreams and aspirations.
