This project was designed for students to create a series of compositions using various typefaces. Students were free to change the size, orientation, and crop of each letterform in order to create a visually appealing composition.
Platelet was the font used to create this layout. This font can be described as affluent, exuberant because of how it flows together and looks almost bubbly. One could also describe it as supple or even lively.
For this composition the typeface Rockwell Regular was used. This typeface is very bold, angular, and clean-cut. It can even be
described as intense.
Stempel Garamond was used to create this composition. It can be described as very pleasant, relaxing, and even antique. Despite this, it is also vertical and contrast.
This layout was created with the typeface Futura. This typeface and the composition it created is very approachable, rounded, bold,
and even blissful.
Bauer Bodoni Roman was used to create this layout. It is very minimalistic and can be described as tranquil, dainty, and elegant.
For this layout Helvetica was the typeface used. It can be described as abstracted, condensed, and in this composition, affable and dreamy.
