Recently, I collaborated with a local activewear company, YeoMama Batik. It is a local fashion label that creates 100% handmade batik clothing. They also have a series of activewear clothes, with local inspired motifs.
Initially, I had the idea of creating a monochromatic look with their activewear, with ‘Blue on blue’ as the theme. Instead, they suggested I work with their recent release, a pink themed activewear set that was produced. Thus, I decided to work with a ‘Pink on Pink’ themed look instead.
I went about sourcing for the appropriate pink sports equipment to match the look. It wasn’t easy to source for, but I am glad I was able to find them.
I decided to try 2 looks within the same set, a softer look, along with a punchier, more contrasty, pop-art look inspired by the work of Photographer Miles Aldrige.
Have a look at some of the photos shot for the production!
20% of proceeds from this collection will also go to Singapore Breast Cancer Foundation to support their cause!
