ERETNA PATIENT MONITOR Industrial Design & Mechanical Design

The design language has adopted soft- line surfaces in order to create a positive impression on the patients. Intricate surfaces were avoided as much as possible, the screen was coated with glass and membrane keypad was used for the control buttons in order to facilitate cleaning.
Since it is critical to be able to use the product under any circumstances, the control was provided both through using manually the keys and through using the touch screen. The circular button with navigation characteristic was placed in the black glass area covering the screen in order to facilitate its perception as the main command of the product. This glass area which is connecting the screen and the navigation button creates a stain value, fact that contributes to the memorability of the design.At the moment the situation of the patient becomes critical, the warning light placed just above the screen starts to flash in the defined colors, assuming the attention- catching function.A handle was placed on the back lid in order to provide the easy carrying of the product whenever necessary. At the same time, this handle has been designed as a shield preventing the access of any liquids through the ventilation grilles. At the sides of the products some areas were left intentionally for optional usages according to different needs, such as thermal printers.
