CSSOff 2013 Entry Submission

There is a contest held by UnmatchedStyle called CSSOff. Basically you have to make a working webpage from the Photoshop / PNG document provided, as well as to add hover states, responsiveness - anything to make the webpage look more like an interactive website than a static webpage document. The time limit is 2 weeks and is open for public. The contest entry must be submitted in Codepen (codepen.io).

Because of the schedule of my college time, I worked on the submission for only a week. I managed to create a working webpage based on the Photoshop document, and it looked very similar. But because of time constraints, I wasn't able to spruce it up.

The whole webpage is created using Bootstrap (which lacked IE8 support - which is needed for extra points), SCSS with the help of Nicolas Gallagher's normalize.css, and a little bit of jQuery. It has a little bit of responsiveness in terms of browser size, although not that great (again, time constraints). I was planning to use Susy (susy.oddbird.net) for grid systems, replacing Bootstrap, but since I'm working inside Codepen, which lacks Compass plugins support, I wasn't able to use Susy. In the end though, I felt good because the design looked very similar with the original design.

CSSOff 2013 Entry Submission

My submission to CSSOff 2013. Not really the best of the competition but something I am proud of.
