Work as Lead designer with an amazing team at Mmoser Associates

Mininglamp Technology, a leading enterprise AI product and service platform in China, is booming. En route to expansion and cohesive development, it needed to consolidate several offices in Beijing under one roof.
Carrying out architecture analysis and optimisation, strategic planning, interior design, and MEP services, we have transformed the existing site into a high-performance space that supports growth.

Project highlights
Executed innovative urban planning concepts in the “Mininglamp Avenue” and “Tomorrow Square” - two components that activate social interactions within the 10,000 sq-m floorplate;
Performed structural feasibility studies and built an internal staircase to enhance vertical connection and movement;
Created diverse settings to support work and wellness objectives.

Addressing the challenge, the team turns to urban planning. Designing each floor with the fundamental functions of a city in mind, the layout features a major avenue (Mininglamp Avenue), a central square (Tomorrow Square) and numerous neighbourhoods (work areas).

The urban workplace
A stand-alone building, the site was primarily used for industrial purposes with limited office functions. While it enjoys quietness away from the bustling streets, its floorplate posed a challenge – the size reaches 10,000 sq-m, almost 10 times the size of a typical work floor. This required innovative layout planning to ensure intuitive user interactions.
Circulation has been planned around Mininglamp Avenue, intersecting with other pathways for easy movement. Breakout areas are distributed on both sides of the avenue to encourage informal work activities.
Linked to a staircase and café, Tomorrow Square is a multifunctional,  flexible space for social, meetings and casual work.
Activating vertical connection
Connecting two floors, the Mingα Staircase features shared amenities such as fitness area (linked at both ends), a strategy to maximise space utilisation and chance encounters.

A spiral staircase with marble steps near the main entrance strengthens the accessibility of the two floors. Curated planting creates a vibrant atmosphere. The crystal ceiling lighting forms in an upward spiral to symbolise a pioneering and innovative corporate culture.
Social Boulevard

Each floor includes designated work and non-work areas, similar to public squares and neighbourhoods planned to consider density.
Providing various work settings

Based on prior workplace studies, a series of work settings have been arranged to support all kinds of activities. These include booths near the entrance for spontaneous meet-ups, meeting rooms of different scales, a large training room, as well as phone booths and other collaboration areas.
Designing for wellness

In a people-centric workplace, the headquarters adopt a series of measures to prioritize wellbeing. The layout maximizes daylight, while smart-control-enabled lighting addresses the challenge of the large floorplate to bring comfort to users at all corners.
Introducing urban planning concepts to guide this ambitious project, we combined expertise in architecture, workplace strategy, interior design and engineering to create a human-centric workplace. Supporting Mininglamp’s vision, the new headquarters champions the firm as an innovative leader in the AI industry.
