This project was created as my final for GIT 311 Product Photography. The goal of the project was to create three high quality images with composed scenes. We were given creative freedom over what we shot for the three images. I chose to create an ad campaign for La Colombe Coffee featuring their Mocha Draft Lattes. Each of my final images are sized for print as if they were to be in a magazine. 

These three shots were taken with the Canon EOS Rebel SL1 and used various lighting equipment such as strip boxes, gels, grids and flags. The lighting setup for the three shots was relatively the same, using four lights; with the horizontal image however, I removed a light in front of the product and got an unexpected glowing effect that I thought was really cool! The horizontal image also was taken without a tripod. 

All three images contain heavy editing through color correction, compositing, and the addition of branding elements. In the first image, most of the coffee beans were shot separately from the product and then added in as separate photoshop layers. They were then skewed to appear as if they were swooping into the frame from far off in the distance. 

Before the final images were due, we had a chance to rework our images through critiques. Two of my images did not change much between critiques and the final result, but my third image is actually two first draft concepts pulled into one to create the final image. 

To get this result, I had to reshoot my image entirely. It paid off in the end with a much more dynamic and visually interesting image. The final result was also shot with one less light than my original two concept images. As for post production editing, I color corrected parts of this image as well as used the spot heal tool to clean up some areas of the photo. 

This image was color corrected and tilted after critiques. I also added more coffee beans into the image and brightened them with the dodge tool. 

This image was also color corrected and cropped inwards to create a tighter shot. I also made sure to spot heal out the words on the chocolate I used in the image.
