The concept underlying this year’s INSPIRE is that of metamorphosis. This will fashion the outlook through which the works, actions and conversations happening among its contributors will become consolidated and interpreted. The artists running the workshops have been chosen because their works are directly related to the metamorphosis of objects, concepts and spaces, while the museum itself, as an institutional frame also demonstrates mechanisms for transformation and the giving of meaning. Franck Bragigand, Peter Kogler and Maria Papadimitriou will engage with the topic and propose different versions of metamorphosis as methods that allow us to re-approach art and, through art, life. They themselves will bring forth new artistic forms and also the social dimension of artistic creation.
INSPIRE-Thessaloniki Arts Festival is conducted within the context of the Operational Programme for Macedonia-Thrace of the NSRF (National Strategic Reference Framework) and is co-funded by the European Union (European Regional Development Fund).
