For this project, I decided to reinterpret Daisy Buchanan from the Great Gatsby. From the movie, she is depicted as a very polished and sophisticated girl, but based on the book I think that she would be seen as more carefree and outgoing. My friend had a Great Gatsby costume and I captured a picture of her laughing that I thought depicted the personality of Daisy better.

I first started by putting together my background. On the upper right side I put in a famous quote said by Daisy, and underneath it a handwritten note. On the left I put the first page of The Great Gatsby. I then added one of the many variations of the book cover on my second progress photo and turned my opacity down and put on the "screen" filter. In the third progress photo I added "Daisy Buchanan" and adjusted the perspective and warped the text. I also added an image of a typical 1920's party and put it on the "darker mode" filter. I felt it was important to include a party image because they were all intended to impress Daisy. Lastly, I added the picture of my friend and put it on the "luminosity" filter to match the color scheme.
