Design Narrative
The forecourt design of this private villa in Al Jubail embodies a warm, embracing and serene vibe that makes going home everyday a pleasant experience. The design goal was to create a sensation of a welcoming entrance to the villa - from the driveway and gate up to the main entrance of the house.
Our main idea was to give the client a cozy place for them to enjoy the outdoors and nature while having quality time with the whole family. It was essential to integrate a pool, hammock, dining area, kids area and car parking as key elements of the design.
To achieve our goal, we created a haven where the users will feel connected with nature with a sense of home. Natural materials where used with earthy colors - whites, browns, beiges and grays, with accent colors at the kid's playground for a playful vibe. A divider was placed between the carport and the playground to ensure the safety of the kids while playing.
The openness of the space allowed us to create several recreational areas for everyone to enjoy while maintaining a grand entryway leading to the main entrance of the house.
One of the constraints we faced in the project is putting together a design in sync with the existing façade and finishes. We carefully chose the materials and pieces of furniture to match the classic aesthetics of the house. The right color, texture, element and shape contributes greatly to the totality of the final outcome.
