2. Create a photo-book for the letterform
Creating 3D Model
In order to visualize the letter form in 3D, I used Rhino to create the 3D model of letter. I projected the alphabets of Helvetica on a sphere in Rhino and turned them into 3D models. After I have the models, I used a plugin in Rhino to slice the models into even sections and exported them in vector format. These vector files were then used for laser cutting. The last step was to use adhesive to glue all the slices together.
Contents of the Photo Book
The cover for the photo book is a photograph I took. I want to show the material and the texture of my model. This design covers the front and the back of the book.
These are the silhouettes of all the alphabet models. I name them as the ARC, because the curvature they have.
