In the summer of 2012, Rogers Media and Sportsnet submitted a proposal for Domestic/Digital Rights and Host Broadcaster to the Toronto Organizing Committee (TOC) for the 2015 Pan American and Parapan American Games.

The objective of the proposal was to communicate to the TOC that Rogers Media offers a unique blend of television, radio, publishing and digital assets, positioning our organization as the best, most ideal media partner for TO2015.

The kit included a custom embossed case that incased formal letters to be included in the proposal, a mock magazine to showcase the multi-platform capabilities of Sportsnet (this was also a creative avenue to submit for the Canadian Broadcast Rights and Canadian Digital Media rights) and a detailed book that outlined the production outline of the games as a Host Broadcaster.

The submission was well received by the Toronto Organizing Committee and Rogers Media was one of the front runners to become the Host Broadcaster of the games.
