"Nostalgia" picture book / 2022

Mission: "Nostalgia" is a picture-book that based on ISTD 2022 "Lighthouses of the World" brief. The aim of the brief was to conduct an investigation of the lighthouses in the chosen country and establish a narrative that appropriately celebrates the chosen building. For this project, I chose to work with Aniva Lighthouse based in Russia, Sakhalin Island.
Aim: this project aims to create a story maintained by typography and illustrations that will not only tell the history of the chosen lighthouse but evoke an emotional response. For this purpose I chose to work with a feeling that is strongly bounded with history, heritage and memories; a feeling that is relevant to all of us. And this feeling is nostalgia.
