Inspired by the beauty and dynamics of the sky, this project is a condensed preview of the everyday skyscape over Sofia, Bulgaria for 2021.
Different classifications of the sky’s qualities and plain midday colors are organized in a visual infographic that contains:
- 365 photos of the sky – one per every day of 2021 – designed as a calendar layout
- the average color of the day, week, month and year. The daily colors are arranged from light to dark.
- 13 categories of the sky’s peculiarities.

All photos are taken between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. in Sofia, Bulgaria. The sky is shot in its natural state, straight up, with a main phone camera, without zoom, lens flare, HDR, or AI. Photos contain only sky and sky-native objects.
