Logo and corporate identity for a Georgian restaurant focused on khinkali (georgian dumplings)

About client
Pro.KHINKALI is a network of authentic restaurants of Georgian cuisine. The name indicates the peculiarity of the restaurant: khinkali is made up here by professionals, and you can find more than seven different types of this dish on the menu.
The restaurant has existed for two years: now the Pro.KHINKALI is open in Sochi and Moscow.
Task
To develop an identity that can emphasize the specialization of the restaurant in khinkali and distinguish the restaurant from competitors in the markets of Moscow and Sochi.
Solution
In the sign of the logo there is a character - a connoisseur of Georgian cuisine, who has a hat in the form of a khinkali, which emphasizes the peculiarity of the restaurant. Mountains can be seen behind the character - they are associated with Caucasian cuisine.
For the text part of the logo, we have developed a font: we added curls that from a distance resemble the letters of the Georgian alphabet.
Five colors have become trademark at once: two bright red-orange shades were developed for the text and pattern, two white-beige for the background and dark blue for the text and background.
We have chosen three fonts as corporate fonts for various purposes. Yanone Kaffesatz, with its massiveness and laconicism, has become the perfect solution for headlines. Rubik, thanks to its minimalism, came up for creating subheadings. To create voluminous text blocks, we suggested using a simple and familiar to many - Arial.
The stud pattern is a bright geometric pattern of bright red and orange rhombuses on dark and light backgrounds. It can be used to design menus, corporate aprons and sweatshirts, and branded food delivery packaging.
