FarmGuide is a 1+3 days' project - I've decided to take one day to analyse all the info I had available and three to design. I'm looking for an iterative strategy to come up with new ideas and work around my skills... this is the first one of a series of projects I'm hoping to develop this year - PITCH ME SOMETHING!

 

I was asked to transform Borda d'Água in a digital product. Borda d'Água defines itself as an annual almanac born in 1929 presenting forecasts for the year, practical advice based on folk wisdom (proverbs, remedies, etc.)., science and astrology, weather forecasts, forecasts for agriculture, times of sowing and other agricultural work, moon phases, information on the sea and tides, calendar, anniversaries, etc...

 

I have decided to incorporate the usefull information for this century in a digital farm guide turned into a mobile app. It is fully scalable to any device/OS and adaptable to any place's conditions and uses the mobile technology to ease your work and projects. You can check some screenshots below - I want your thoughts!

The Home Screen allows you to easily access the menu - which is always visible all over the app - and provides you information about general questions.

Markets and Fairs: using a GMaps API and your phone's geolocalization, you can check what's happening around and bookmark/add reminders. My plans and wishes: everything that interests you and that you don't want to miss in a single place, color coded, ordered according to your needs (date, importance)!

Discover what's happening now or on a near feature - although the "Holidays" are days well known, it's hard to keep up with all the celebrations - you'll be able to detail if you want to see suggestions about religious issues, don't worry. (I'm really in love with these Settings, can't tell why! Ahahah, thought you'd like to see details).

You can enable notifications, allow syncronizations and view all legal disclaymers. Most of all, I believe the Settings menu should work on your favor, providing assistance and controlling extra/special features.
