After watching GreyScaleGorilla's tutorial, I decided to make my own. Inspired from Nylon.la's website cover, I made an NBA wallpaper. The NBA in the middle with the names of the 30 teams around it. I used different fonts for each to team to show variety.
I did the layout of the wallpaper in Illustrator first. It would make things so much easier if I started in 2D. Exported it out and did the rest in Cinema 4D.
Screenshots from Cinema 4D in different Display styles.
The image below showed a ray of light that is never ending. This is because, in 3D lights never end. They just bounce around and infinitely scatters. I wanted it to be realistic where the light would not spread infinitely and would have its own falloff.
I post-processed the image in Ps. Edited the light so it can have a falloff. I then added my logo, and taaa-daa!
Alternate Angle.
