This is a portrait of myself, my partner, our two cats and our environment during the first lockdown in 2020. I created it for the group exhibition Exquisite Portraits, which also involved 25 other illustrators and 20 children’s writers and poets. The idea was to each create our own illustrated or written portrait or snapshot, each sharing the real or imaginary characters we lived with. The visual exhibition connected these 1 metre sized pieces altogether to form one giant piece. Garden 'elements' were created by children who took part in the Illustrators Guild online workshops, and subsequently added to the portraits. The written portraits were spoken and combined into a video.

It was exhibited in The Lab in Dublin from July 2020, and in the Riverbank Arts Centre in Newbridge from January 14th to February 26th 2022.
