My work is a collaboration of graphic design and making.  I believe you cannot design anything without fully
understanding the physical aspects, whether it be a product, packaging design, tables and chairs, or jewelry.
My work has not always been this way; I have always felt that I had to choose between graphic design and
3d making.  When in fact, those two working together is what makes a design work or fall apart. It wasn’t until
this year that I had discovered the crossover and how I could apply it to my own work, the branding of
Maduro is my proof of that; both the hand and design are present.

Maduro, meaning mature in Spanish; is a place to relax in a sophisticated environment with friends, wine,
cheese & a good laugh. The wine and cheese bar is located in California, where the grapes are grown, pressed,
and aged. The Spanish influence in the name “Maduro” is derived from the Spanish missionaries that had
brought what is call Mission Grapes to the west coast. Mission Grapes were originally used for making
sacramental, table, and fortified wines in Spain, but were then brought to other areas such as California.
Maduro has adopted Mission Grapes for their wine and paired it with the appropriate cheese combinations.
