He on the Sea, I on the Shore

A Project for World Suicide Awareness Day

When YMI Today approached us for this project, we knew we wanted
to tell a story of mental illness from a largely untold perspective: The carer's

We spent over 7 months speaking with mental health experts and real carers,
hearing stories of compassion and frustration, triumph and anguish.
Every carer story is unique. There may be no black & white happy endings.
We hope our project captures this complexity.

This story envisions carers as a beacon of hope, standing brave and steadfast in their loved ones’ storms.
The work is tireless, sometimes thankless, but it is a light that points to a greater Hope.
Alongside our story, we also released an article to encourage carers of those with mental illness.
If you’re struggling to walk with a loved one through dark times, please know you are not alone.
We pray that this project can show you how very close you are to the Father’s heart.
