Coppla Lounger
Coppla is a 2 person lounger, which is mainly designed for the outdoors and beach resorts. Coppla’s Close & Unclose space” encourages communication in a positive & relaxing manner. By capturing the sea’s rhythm and enhancing the sound , allows better listening by soothing the mood of the users and suggest better quality of listening during a conversation. As humans are attuned to rhythms, and find it easier to listen and remember.
The designed activity allows the suggested value to be practice by the contemporary users, which is to listen to one another as we constantly fail to really “Listen”, as a conversation nowadays, is becoming a self promoting process, but by stripping away all it’s intensity, it allows users to unwind, relax and meet thier emotional needs, that everyone of us requires, hence the quality of a conversation.
Design
Coppla’s design form is mainly derived from the tolerance of the Vietnamese over one another, and challenging the tolerance level of the morden users to make interaction, to a extend the from challenges the user with it’s foreign look, but also familiar at the same time. The inner part of the lounger captures the acoustics of the front and top, in this case the sea, as well as suppressing unwanted noise from the rear and gives a sense of privacy and ownership to the users.
