Description

The objective was to implement the 2.5D technique, which consists of working with elements that are two-dimensional (like images or vectors) but disposed and animated along the 3rd depth axis. It had to be based on an existing brand. And it also had to have transitions different than simple cuts or fades; everything had to be seamlessly connected and very dynamic.

My idea was to do what could be a hypothetical Ultra event in Buenos Aires. It consisted of hanging portraits, representing scenarios that were iconical to the artists that would perform in the event. That is why I used their logos and some graphical supports that would fit the Ultra style. I also used the Buenos Aires touristic known symbols, such as the monument "Obelisco", the bridge "Puente de la Mujer", and the "Cabildo" building. Each in that order due to their guessable importance, and attached to each artist with that importance order as well. Like saying "Steve Aoki as the Obelisco of the event" (the main), and so on.

I also concentrated on communicating the Ultra vibes and style, as well as their artists. That is why the usage of purple-blue colors, immense energy through a constant ray that would go across each artist and scenario, and would form the elements and go along with them, among other similar decisions.
