The Balkan peninsula is situated in southeastern Europe, its territory being 745,799 km2 (without Slovenia).

In order to satisfy the claims of national irredentist movements however it would have to soar by almost 50%. Great Balkania is a graphic project highlighting the resulting conflict, or rather common areas, thereby not considering the reasoning - historical, religious, ethnic or even culinary - behind each national ideal.

The more colour layers, the more complicated the puzzle seems.
