The Racha Room is a Saigon institution. Its original location (still) stands on Mac Thi Buoi street. We wanted to give this new space its own personality in details and compositions, while staying true to the brand.

The facade frames the low banquettes on the left and high tables on the right, introducing people to Racha's kitchen and bar concept. We love that the tree is obstructing the facade, adding unintentional mystique.
Taking cues from Thai royal architecture and the Southeast Asia-native material - rattan,
we created a cascading installation that envelopes the high ceiling to direct eyes to the bar.

The bar counter, wine shelves with a moving ladder and shelving units are references from of a royal office,
while details in joints and handles evoke Thai motifs.

Shelving units and custom lighting fixtures at the bar counter.

Bespoke light fixtures emulate lotus buds.

Custom illustrations are inspired by Thai characters.

A massive elephant mural (an icon of Racha Room) towers over guests bring a sense of scale and personality to the space.
