The above image is my inspiration image from which I developed artworks and samples based on keywords and colors derived.
For artwork I replicated stones and waves in different forms with help of different materials and style which matches the properties of water and stone bed.
As per my inspiration image and artwork I decided to weave double cloth weave structures, where one layer reflects water's translucency, flowy and soft properties, with other layer reflecting the course stone bed.
Nylon material was the closest to represent water properties, combined with polyester and cotton yarns to increase strength of the fabric.
Added jamdani(extra weft) to represent water waves in subtle way.
Played with creating pleats for water waves structure.
In few samples. I introduced buttons to represent stone bed with cotton yarns as extra weft for waves.
Added pockets to keep buttons in it .
