Treating the mind with psychedelics
Two hikers take a break from their trip through an old-growth forest. Not far from them grow a few Psilocybin producing mushrooms.
I choose this fantastical setting to illustrate psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy — a possible new way of treating mental health disorders and chronic illness.
During these treatment sessions, one or more guides assist the patient through their trip. I wanted to show that process happening as a literal journey through the woods.

I made a secondary illustration of a psychotherapy room. Similar elements occupy the same space as the previous illustration, almost as if it's a parallel reality.
