How can the smartphone stimulate outdoor play & learning for children in the 8-12 age range?
This was a question VRT innovation came to us with. We created an in-depth concept that started from the ground up. Through a series of creative workshops we defined the outline of our story. This would serve as a base for the entire experience. Through a short animation the app introduces the children to this story:
A long time ago there lived the greatest alchemist of all time. All his knowledge was carefully collected into one great book - 'Bassilicum's Herbarium'. Over time the golden ink within the book slowly started to fade away. It is now up to you to fill the gaps and restore Bassilicum's legacy to its original glory. Through a series of challenges and quests the children learn, play and collect rewards as each completed page brings them one step closer to unraveling the wonderful mysteries of the forest.
