The 3D organization began in 1956 as the Dixie Bridge Company. The firm was created to meet the needs of the interstate highway program, and specialized in bridge construction throughout Kentucky and the surrounding region for almost 30 years.
After the interstate highway program wound down in the early to mid 1980's, the company’s ownership transitioned, and in 1985 the Dixie Bridge Company became 3D Enterprises, Inc.
3D has diversified its operations with three subsidiaries. 3D Enterprises Contracting Corporation handles general contracting activities, and is tightly coupled with its two sister subsidiaries. 3D Enterprises Construction Management provides construction management services. 3D Services Corporation offers facility services. 3D has also taken an aggressive agenda of environmental construction.
