Congratulations to the Eastern Illinois University Panthers football team for a great season! The Panthers finished their 2013 regular season at 11-1—their second consecutive winning season—and ended the post-season  in the FCS quarterfinals.

 

Included below are explorations of a re-brand of the Eastern Illinois University Panthers. These explorations are a fresh approach to EIU’s existing Panthers logo: an evolution. The logos communicate strength and energy. There is fierceness, but they’re not overly aggressive. Both marks utilize EIU’s team colors of black, blue and grey. The ultimate goal of these concept was to redefine the athletic department at EIU, generate renewed passion in the Panthers and provide fresh, exciting ways for students, alumni and fans to connect with the team.
