This is a branding project for a hypothetical FIFA Women's World Cup™ taking place in Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands in 2027.

THE LOGO
The main inspiration behind the logo is the inter-connectivity of the three host countries. Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands are all neighbouring countries and share a long and complex sporting history.
The logo consists of three outer rings, symbolising the first-ever FIFA Women's World Cup co-hosted by three countries. The rings each contain 27 squares, representing the year the tournament will take place - 2027.
The most inner of the three rings also contain a pattern of 6 stripes, hinting at the design of the iconic Brandenburg Gate in Berlin - the most renowned symbol of German reunification. This pattern is present in 12 squares, which represents the 12 host cities of the tournament. The Cube Houses of Rotterdam were the inspiration behind the arrangement of the square rings. Squares also form an integral part of traditional Belgian patterns. This reinforces the idea of inter-connectivity between the three host nations.
The inner part consists of a heart icon surrounded by a coloured football. The heart shape takes inspiration from the look of a German pretzel and architecture styles of the three host countries.
The typography is joyful, friendly and reflects the hospitality and friendliness of the host countries.

The brand is built around 8 primary colours that symbolise the warmth, friendliness and openness of the host countries.

The brand identity comprises 12 patterns that represent the host countries in a minimalistic manner. There are 6 one-colour patterns, while the remaining 6 patterns are multi-colour.

CLOSING REMARKS
This is only a fantasy project and does in no way express the opinions of FIFA or the countries mentioned in this project. The host country/countries for the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup™ is still to be announced.
