TUKI
A side bench
Tuki ( in Finnish language tuki means support / in Hebrew tuki means "A beautiful thing" ) is a bamboo bench that was made during the bamboo workshop. Through this workshop, I was able to build an understanding for bamboo not only as a material but as a sustainable alternative.
I was able to experiment with the strength of bamboo through structure and with some explored bamboo joineries, making me realize that how strong and simple structures can be created through minimal use of the material.
Also the explorations done during the workshop made me aware about the limitations that can be faced while using bamboo, which then lead to combining bamboo with some other materials to achieve the desired results.
