2020 was strange and violent for everyone. With a pandemic stopping the world, literally, culture was one of the most affected areas. With the aim of supporting this area and with the restrictions that made it impossible to hold the festival, the Estaleiro MMXX materialized in artistic residencies. The collectives and guest musicians resided for a week in Esposende, where they were able to explore the materials and imaginaries underlying the place of the shipyard, later maturing in the studio an audio project about this effect. From the photo shoots in the place, where seaweeds abound that cover everything they can, boats forgotten on the banks of a river, rusty structures that time does not spare, and curiously, a propeller wrapped in sheets that are dancing in the wind, heavy textures emerge, designed to be aggressively raw to make an impact. Yet, the silence is general and spreads to the communication of this edition.
