    First stage concept for an exhibit on the history of the TIROS I Satellite and Project Diana, as well as a new control room and observatory for the TLM-18 Radio Dish. The control room would host 6 computer operators and a group of 20 observers. The building was originally the ground station for the world's first earth observing satellite, TIROS I, in 1960 and was known for tracking historic satellites like Sputnik in 1957. Project Diana also made history on the site in 1946 when a modified radar unit bounced radio signals off the moon and back. Read Less
