ZZZ Cosmetics
ZZZ (pronounced Triple Z) is a new, up-and-coming, boutique cosmetic brand that develops products to aid a restful night’s sleep. So far, they have only finalized their brand and are looking for a designer that will take their brand guidelines to develop a series of illustrative patterns they can use throughout their products and marketing collateral.
With the brand's core message in mind, I designed the patterns to revolve around sleep related objects and added loose, abstract shapes to further emphasize the dream-like floaty feeling of deep sleep. I assigned a specific pattern and color palette to each product to make them more distinguishable from one another. The patterns follow a grid format so that in the event a new product launches, a new pattern can be easily generated using newly created and already existing icons. I then used these patterns on the packaging while making sure that the brand's identity and any other useful information doesn't get lost on the busy-ness of the pattern. The result is a fun and distinct design that will draw attention from the shelves and is something one can be proud of travelling with or having on display in their homes.
