"Duende" (Spanish) means "The mysterious power of art to deeply move a person, a mysterious power deep within enough to make people swoon over it." It is because of the great strength and the desire to bring Vietnamese art to a new page. Duende Center for Contemporary Art was born with the desire to be a bridge to bring art to the public widely, inspire inspiration, participate in building a vibrant art activity environment to contribute to improving the quality of life cultural, and spiritual life in the country.
With the desire to build a development and integration center with three main goals: investment in conservation, the museum aims to collect and preserve Vietnam's cultural and artistic heritage and works of historical value art. Besides, the center also has the task of introducing valuable works and new art trends to contribute to aesthetic orientation and spread knowledge about art to a large public in the country.
