Here is a whole bunch of posters I designed for various initiatives/events. Some are just for kicks.
Made this poster for Women's Day. Countless posts and images popped up on my screen, and triggered this thought. I found it quite dangerous and appalling when most representations of women revolved around being a great mother, always ready to sacrifice for her husband and children, endure the pain of childbirth, being an expert at multitasking, (preferably a home maker), and most importantly devoid of desires. While it may be alright to get terribly emotional when such representations take up the entire screen space on media, any other form of identity of women becomes highly problematic by default - women who do not intend to form families, give birth to children, serve in-laws and husband unconditionally. Such women by some fcuked up logic, automatically become vamps, and therefore, available to be exploited and punished.

The disillusionment continues...
Inspired by a popular visual from Un Chien Andalou (directed by Luis Buñuel)
Made a birthday mailer for a colleague at office. We call him Andy (Anandarup), hence the idea to Warholize him :)
Here's a poster I made for The Boss Dialogues with Karan Johar as the guest this time.
A mood board with images from Karan's films, chat show and persona helped in selecting the right colour pallette - have carefully sketched out the details to bring alive the KJo-ness in the poster... your reactions please?

A poster for Swayam for an initiative against Dowry.

Two of my immediate seniors at NID - Saheb Ram Tudu and Abhilash Jose have completed their Diploma Films and screened the same at the NID Auditorium on August 23rd. Since I am currently in Kolkata working on my own project I missed the awesome chance to watch their films at our Auditorium, hoot, cheer and celebrate with them. Here are two posters I designed to promote their film online on Facebook and may be a few prints were taken at my institute to publicize the event.
Both Saheb and Abhilash come from interesting backgrounds and their films too celebrate the power of the people, especially (in Saheb's film: NAAYO which in the Santhali language means Woman or Women)  those working at the grass-root level. Abhilash's film ridicules the power-hungry politicians and highlight how they misuse their power.
