This image was originally in Chinese. I translated it into English so everyone could understand it.
INTRODUCTION
This image is the second of the two infographs I made with my group members for our Sociological Approaches and New Media Communication Research course from the fall 2012 semester. The points of views are from our textbook Networked by Lee Rainie and Barry Wellman, published in 2012 by the MIT Press. The date are from some academic articles in Chinese, so most of the date are about the Chinese internet environment.
The image was posted on Weibo, the Chinese equivalent of Twitter by the official account of PKU's New Media Research Center. Posted at 19:17 December 2 2012, and one months later the infograph received 532383 views, 355 reblogs, and 80 comments at the end of the semester.
