OKKA is an institution in the Belarusian city of Gomel, combining the functions of a restaurant and a hookah bar.

The aim of the project was to create a space with a pleasant noir atmosphere. We wanted to make a calm and quiet place in the very center of the city. Directional lighting makes the room very theatrical and somewhat intimate. We also used large curtains to hide the visitor from unnecessary looks and the noise of the big city, and large arched openings create the effect of intimacy.

This is a small but elongated room, starting from the reception desk and ending with an accent in the form of a bar counter. The bar area is almost a theatrical platform. The light directed at the opening with the curtain creates the feeling that some kind of performance is about to begin.

I hope that the client and visitors will appreciate the work we have done.
