Description: This piece was created by taking a previous project of a still life painting, and abstracting it completely into simple lines and shapes, then rebuilding upon those to create an abstract piece like this. I chose to create an illusion to some form of three dimensional space with the additional geometric "bricks" placed around the canvas as if they are spatially in front of the form in the background. At one point on the right side of the canvas, there is a moment of intertwining the two planes as the rectangular shapes appear to come forward from behind the form.
