This poster series was created for the ITS Department at San Francisco State University in order to represent and showcase the teamwork values that are expected and upheld within the department. All the work done for the final series was done in Adobe Illustrator.
Original Team Value Posters:
Before this series was developed, the posters below were the only place that the ITS Team Values could be found. While all the values could be easily read, the posters were not eye catching nor did they accurately represent the fun and upbeat energy that radiates from within this department.
Brainstorming and Original Sketches:
The design process for this project started with brainstorming word maps based around the six values individually then sketching out rough draft ideas.
Rough Drafts:
The next step taken was creating a few digital first drafts that were used to determine which direction the series should continue in. While the examples below were just rough drafts, the illustrated style was ultimately chosen over the edited images in order to avoid the posters looking too much like stock photos.
Final Series:
The final posters within the series can be found below. The universities primary and secondary color palettes were used along with incorporating the concept of technology related visuals in order to create consistency throughout the series. The use of different fonts and weight was done in order to stick with the similar emphasizing of key concepts that could be found in the original posters.
