COME IN ALTO, COSI' IN BASSO

COME IN ALTO, COSI' IN BASSO, MULTIMEDIA

Inspired by Dante's "Divina Commedia", "Come in alto, così in basso" is a multimedia piece and installation completed in 2021. It has been commissioned for the 700 years since Dante's death's anniversary and presented in Trevi (PG) at the Festival Federico Cesi.
The piece consists of 20 minutes of original music combined with visuals divided in three chapters (IN BASSO, NEL MEZZO, IN ALTO). It is a dreamy metaphor of Dante's Inferno, Purgatorio and Paradiso. The meaning of the text is re-thought and re-interpreted, as if it was an echo of an ancient soul. A girl goes back and forth from dream to reality, unable to distinguish them, in a constant fight between truth and fiction. Although COME IN ALTO, COSI' IN BASSO is not a religious work, it is deeply spiritual.
