Brief:
It is estimated that worldwide, one in 160 children is diagnosed with some form of ASD which stands for Autism Spectrum Disorder. Which can be approximated as 1% of the world's population has autism spectrum disorder – over 75,000,000 people. Characteristics of autism may be detected in early childhood, but autism is often not diagnosed until much later therefore autistic people are often subject to stigma, discrimination and human rights violations. Understanding the differences can help spread awareness and aid in identifying symptoms.
