VID는 Vitamin D에서 착안한 조명 전문 브랜드로, 사용자들의 공간 속 작은 태양이 되어 활력을 불어 넣어주겠다는 생각 아래서 시작했습니다. "사용자와 공간에 맞는 조명을 위해서는 어떤 제품을 만들어야 할까?"란 고민은 각각의 사용자들에게 걸맞는 맞춤형 조명을 제공하는 것으로 귀결되었고, 이는 우리 VID 가치관의 기조가 되었습니다. 이렇게 단단히 가치관을 세운 VID는, 우리를 대표할 첫 번째 시그니처 디자인의 조명을 보여드릴 것입니다.
VID is a lighting brand derived from Vitamin D, and it started with the idea of becoming a small sun in the user's space and energizing them. The question of "What products should we make for lighting suitable for users and spaces?" resulted in providing customized lighting for each user, which was the basis of our VID values.

우리는 알맞은 디자인의 조명을 제공하는 조명 전문 브랜드이지만, 조명은 공간에 숨을 불어 넣어주는 작은 태양이라는 우리의 가치관 아래 단순한 맞춤형 조명이 아닌 아름다운 디자인의 조명을 제공해야한다고 생각했습니다. 이런 고민 아래 우리는 영감을 우리의 주위를 둘러싼 풍경들, 삶에서 얻습니다. 아름다운 조명 디자인을 우선적으로 제공한 후, 특정한 파츠를 다양하게 갈아 끼워 공간의 분위기를 결정하는 조명. 하나의 조명만으로도 다양한 연출이 가능하고, 궁극적으로는 사용자 각각의 커스터마이징이 가능한 조명. 이를 대주제로 정하고, 조명 디자인을 정한 뒤 우리는 <바다 / 노을 / 도시>를 형상화한 파츠를 디자인 하기로 했습니다. VIDA는 아크릴 판을 갈아 끼우며 원하는 감성을 공간에 불어 넣어주는 맞춤형 조명이 될 것입니다.
We are a brand specializing in lighting that provides the right design, but we thought that lighting should provide beautiful design lighting, not just customized lighting, under our view of the small sun that breathes air into space. Under these concerns, we get inspiration from the landscapes surrounding us, from life. Lighting that determines the atmosphere of the space by providing a beautiful lighting design first and then changing specific parts in various ways. Lighting that can be customized with just one light, and ultimately each user's lighting. After setting it as a major topic, we decided to design a part that embodies <Ocean/Sunset/City>. VIDA will be a customized light that changes acrylic plates and blows the desired sensibility into the space.
아이디에이션 과정에서 총 2가지의 디자인 시안이 나왔습니다. 하지만 1번 스케치의 경우에는 디자인이 너무 정형화 되어있다는 느낌을 받았고, 느낌을 살리기 위해서는 메탈을 사용해야 한다고 생각했는데 어려울 것으로 판단되어 아크릴을 통해 다양한 분위기 연출이 가능한 2번 디자인으로 확정을 지었습니다. 이후 모델링 단계에서 전구를 쉽게 갈 수 있고, 선을 깔끔하게 정리할 수 있도록 소켓을 직접 제작, 3D프린트로 출력하였습니다.
A total of two design proposals came out during the Ideation. However, in the case of sketch No. 1, I felt that the design was too formal, and I thought I had to use metal to make it feel better, but I decided to design No. 2 that can create various atmospheres through acrylic. After that, the socket was manufactured and printed in 3D print so that the light bulb could be easily changed during the modeling stage and the lines could be neatly arranged.
석양, 바다, 도시 등 우리 삶에서 영감을 받은 다양한 디자인의 아크릴 파츠들은 LED 조명을 받아 아름답게 빛을 낼 것입니다. 조명을 감싸고 있는 원은 세상을 상징하며, 둥근 조명은 태양을 상징합니다. 이 각각의 요소들은 각진 디자인의 조명 소켓과 어울려 심플하면서도 기하학적인 아름다움을 사용자들에게 제공합니다.

Acrylic parts of various designs inspired by our lives, such as sunset, sea, and city, will shine beautifully under LED lights. The circle surrounding the light symbolizes the world and Round lighting symbolizes the sun. Each of these elements goes well with an angled lighting socket to provide users with simple yet geometric beauty.

위 조명은 기본적으로 벽부등으로 디자인 되었습니다. 못을 통해 견고히 고정하거나, 여의치 않다면 양면 테이프를 이용해서 원하는 곳에 손쉽게 조명을 설치하세요. 가벼운 VIDA의 몸체는 어디든지 고정되어 공간을 밝혀줄 것입니다. 또한, VIDA를 위해 따로 제작된 소켓은 깔끔히 전선을 정리해주며, E26 규격의 전구라면 편하게 교체할 수 있습니다.
The lighting above is basically designed as a wall lamp. Fix it firmly through a nail, or if it's not easy, use double-sided tape to easily install the light wherever you want. VIDA, The light body will be fixed anywhere easily to brighten the space. Sockets made separately for VIDA neatly organize the wires and can be replaced easily with E26 light bulbs.
