The man of the martial arts
Piercarlo Cappelli is the first apprentice and spiritual heir of who has been one
of the most influential Japanese martial arts masters in the world: Sugiyama Shoji.
In the course of his life, master Cappelli has built a bridge of experiences that
connect him to the land of the rising sun.
Through studies, passions, professional commitments, sentimental ties and all sorts of events, the life of one of the masters and mediators of Judo in Italy has always been strongly influenced by the Japanese mentality and culture.

But how much does this Japanese influence manifest itself in his life in Italy?

Even in the simplest gestures of daily life, the oriental spirituality transmitted to him
is in strong contrast with the ideologies of a country that is now too westernized.
This small glimpse of his life is intended to document just how much his habits are rooted in oriental culture; the same roots that for generations have educated and raised school children and sports associations throughout concepts and values that have been passed down for centuries in martial arts dojos and that lead us to the search for life in every breath.
