「教科圖書設計獎」希望鼓勵更多設計師及出版業夥伴，投入教科圖書及教育創新的行列。專案透過打造教科書圖書獎的代表標章，以創造獲獎認證之榮譽感，進一步達到鼓勵教科書美學發展之目的。 在學習與閱讀的過程中，記憶往往來自於令人印象深刻之處，而教科書的使命則在於設計出能刻印在記憶中的重要訊息。標章以代表教科書的「書籍」與象徵驚艷的「驚嘆號」，建構出屬於教科書設計的識別系統，為值得被一窺究竟的優良圖書設計認證，創造記憶的亮點。以標章之特性為發展前提，外觀與其應用性需適應於不同載體與後加工之彈性、可視性，以清晰明辨為上，打造具備國際感與經典永續之高度。

School Textbooks Design Award is held to encourage more designers and publishing industry partners to devote themselves to the innovation of textbooks and education. This project creates a logo for this award to create a sense of honor at winning the award and being recognized, thereby further fostering the development of textbook aesthetics. During learning and reading, what's memorable often comes from impressive contents, and the mission of textbooks is to design and provide important information that can be imprinted in memory. With an element of "books" representing textbooks and an "exclamation mark" symbolizing amazement, the logo constructs an identification system for textbook design, recognizes outstanding efforts in book designs worthy of careful attention, and creates the highlight of memory. With its characteristics as the top priority for development, the logo needs to have an appearance that demonstrates broad applicability for adaptation into different forms, flexibility for post-processing, and visibility for being clearly recognized, in a way to look international, classic, and sustainable.
