"Koi Fish Legend" is a personal project in which I wanted to illustrate this old Japanese legend that I have loved since my childhood and which has inspired many pop culture symbols: the ascent of a waterfall by these carp to reach its summit and transform into a magnificent celestial dragon inspiring strength, courage and wisdom.
