A 3d low poly sci-fi corridor I made in a week. In the rendered image I wanted to create a contrast between the sense of comfort in the foreground, with the bright warm light, with a sense of unease in the background, with the red key light and the cool ambient light. The sense of unease is heightened by the fact that the source for the red light is out of sight. Not knowing what is around the corner, but yet knowing something is probably there, builds tension in the scene. This technique of hinting that there's more to the environment than what is seen is used a lot in my personal work as well.

Modeled in Maya, textured with Photoshop, Ddo, Ndo2, and Photoshop.
Whole scene lit and rendered with Vray. Tile-set captured in Marmoset.

Polycount per tile: 5589
