Lowcountry Autism Foundation - Beaufort County, SC
Lowcountry Autism Foundation was formed in Beaufort County in South Carolina to cut down the wait time for autistic children to be assessed and diagnosed. LAF has successfully cut a six to eight month wait period down to a couple of weeks.
LAF started from scratch by locals who joined together in a spinning class at a gym. Several were therapists and health field employees who joined together to jump start the organizatoin.
The LAF logo was created from an idea in mind of the founder, while the website is not only a community center for autism in the Lowcountry, but also houses a wealth of information from articles to provider listings.
