This year I had the pleasure of being invited to join Gallery Nucleus' (Portland) annual Power in Numbers (6) group exhibition. The exhibition is on currently and continues to feature hundreds of artwork in a postcard format. 170+ International artists, including my own, have work on display both at the Portland Gallery and online.
This exhibition is traditional medium only which was a huge challenge for me as I work solely digitally now! Above are my finished pencil, ink and highlighter drawings which the outcome ended up being hugely inspired by the initial digital sketches (shown below.) I got a little anxious to use traditional media after so long and as you can see I worked heavily into my sketches initially. The final sketches are what I have shown below. I worked on them in Procreate. I proceeded to print them out then use a lightbox to create the final drawings. I decided I liked the roughness of the sketches so much, I chose to work in pencils to translate this feeling onto paper.
